The 98th anniversary of Children’s Book Week took place May 1-7, 2017.

2017 Children’s Book Week Highlights:

• More than triple the number of Book Week event locations nationwide.
• Official poster, with activities, illustrated by award-winner Christian Robinson and inspired by the 2017 slogan, “One World, Many Stories.” Free posters will be available at all events!
• Exclusive bookmarks by four prominent children’s book illustrators.
• The first ever Children’s Book Week Comic Book
• Reformatted Children’s and Teen Choice Book Awards and extended voting through Book Week.
• Special awards announcement in conjunction with the ABC Children’s Group/ABFE art auction on May 31 at BookExpo.
• The  Anna Dewdney Read Together Award, a picture book prize in honor of the late author and illustrator.
• A revamped Display Contest where 15 winners received books to donate to a local charity of their choice
• Downloadable event and voting kits, press release templates, and more Media Tools.
