2024 Children’s Book Week Recap

The 104th anniversary of Children’s Book Week took place on May 6-12 and on November 4-10, 2024.

2024 Highlights & Resources:

• Official Poster — poster and activities by beloved award-winning illustrator and author Sophie Blackall and inspired by the 2024 slogan, No Rules. Just Read.
• Illustrated Resources 2024 — exclusive bookmarks and activity pages, including drawing pages mazes, word searches, and more, by many prominent children’s book illustrators.
• CLUB NO RULES JUST READ — a fun new way to celebrate Children’s Book Week where there are no rules to follow.
• Celebrate 2024 — activities that encourage young readers to read what they want, when they want, and how they want. The slogan is an affirmation that speaks to the joy and pride that comes with knowing there is not a right way or a right thing to read.
• Participation Ideas (2024) — Children’s Book Week is a celebration for everyone. Celebrations can be simple or over-the-top or anything in between, but above all else, they should be fun! Check out these ideas for inspiration.
